Weight Loss Goals

1. Lose 10 pounds a month for six months; March through August

  • March- 10 lbs. lost YES!!!! 11.2 pounds lost
  • April- 10 lbs. lost No 😦 Only 8.2 pounds lost! Sad that I didn’t reach my goal, happy that I am now 8.2 pounds lighter! Yay me!
  • May- 10 lbs. lost No, I didn’t make this goal. For the second month in a row I lost 8.2 pounds. This is still a great number and I am still losing at a healthy rate so I am not upset I didn’t reach my goal.
  • June- 10 lbs. lost No, I didn’t reach the goal this month but my total monthly loss increased from the last two so that is a good thing 🙂 Total loss for June; 8.6 lbs
  • July- 10 lbs. lost Again, I didn’t reach the goal this month but I am happy to report my total monthly loss increased again 🙂 Total loss for July 8.8 lbs.
  • August- 10 lbs. lost Yes! I did it! I did it! Woo Hoo! I lost 13 pounnds in August! Sweet!

2. Lose 7 pounds a month for four months; September through December

  • Septmeber- Yes! I lost 10.6 pounds in September!
  • October- Yes! I lost 12.2 pounds in October!
  • November-Yes! I lost 12 pounds in November!
  • December-Yes! I lost 13.6 pounds in December. Take that holidays!

3. WW goal: 5% (14 pounds) weight loss. This is based off my starting WW weight of 280. Target date to 266; May 7th – Did not meet goal by May 7th. On May 7th my weight was 266.4- very, very close. *Reached this goal on May 14th.

4. WW goal: 10% (28 pounds) weight loss. This is based off my starting WW weight of 280. Target date to 252; June 18 – did not meet this goal by June 18th. On June 18th my weight was 255.6, 3.6 pounds from my target weight. *Officially reached this goal at the July 2nd WI! Yay!

***Hit 15% (42 pounds) weight loss when I weighed in at home 8/6. I wasn’t tracking to this goal but it is still a major accomplishment and I wanted to note it here.

5. Under 200 pounds (which is slightly unrealistic, but still something to work towards) by my birthday, January 9th, 2012 the end of 2011. I changed this because I am participating in a WW group trying to lose 50 pounds by the end of the year. When I joined I was just a few ounces below 250 so in order to meet that goal would put me just under 200 by New Years.

* I hit 199.5 on November 8th so I changed this goal to reach 100 pounds lost (weight of 186)  by the end of the year. I achieved this goal too when I hit 186 on December 14th and ended the year at 180.4 for a total loss in 2011 of 105.6 pounds!

6. My biggest goal, only because I truly have to bust my butt to get to this point, is to be able to shop at regular stores- size 12/14- by April 1, 2012

* I bought my first pair of 14s in November, 2011 and my first pair of 12s in December, 2011. I officially can shop at regular stores now. Yay!

7. Reach a healthy weight (anywhere between 120 and 150) in 2012

8. Maintain a healthy weight for the remainder of 2012


5% Lost Reward : tickets to Austin City Limits Music Festival (May 14th)

10% Lost Reward: new work, every day and workout clothes (July 2nd)

20% Lost Reward: an iPad

Half-Way There (68 pounds lost) Reward: Ziplining

30% Lost Reward: Weekend Trip

      Thanks again! The accountability has definitely helped keep me on track so far. Plus it’s nice to see that I am making progress. At my weight it is hard to notice the pounds coming off because there is so much to lose.
