Weight Watchers Update – Week 13

Just a quick update on my weigh-in from today. I am at a basketball game right now – not really the best time to type this up. This will be a short post but expect a longer one tomorrow about my weekly goals and other updates. Today was a good weigh-in and I am still amazed at my results. I knew I was losing this week pretty steadily but I never know how that will translate on the WW scale. It translated today to a five pound loss, or as my friend Yerttle sees it – I lost a whole chicken. Yeah, five pounds is pretty crazy and I consider it an anomaly caused by a big change in my workout routine. This past week I spent less time in the gym and more time taking classes (yoga and nia) and walking which in addition to my boxing classes seemed to be right mix of exercises which resulted in a big loss. Speaking of walking, I decided that I am going to participate in the See Jane Run women’s half marathon in Austin on October 9. Don’t freak out- I am going to be walking it, not running. I am not that crazy….yet 😉 But more on that tomorrow.

Since I had such a big loss this week it is possible that next week I will hit my 10% weight loss goal – 28 pounds lost. I am at 24.8 now so if I have another big loss week and manage to lose 3.2 pounds I will be golden. I am excited though because I am about to hit another milestone in 0.2 pounds – 25 pounds lost. At WW this gets you a key chain and as you hit big milestones while participating, WW gives you fun little key rings to put on it. I actually have a key ring from the WW 5K and have been patiently waiting for the key ring to put it on. I am excited at the idea of having a memento to carry with me. It will be a great reminder of my progress on this journey. So, I am hoping if I bust my butt this week I will get my key ring and my 10% reward- new clothes- next weekend. Stay tuned!

Hey!! Sounds like you are doing a wonderful job on WW! I joined again back in April and I have lost 10 lbs so far. We are around the same weight right now, so it’s nice to see someone at about the same step of the journey! Keep up the wonderful work! This is just a stranger popping in to say good job and don’t give up! 😀 Every bit of motivation helps!

Thank you so much! I had some issues at first when I went clothes shopping. Almost had a meltdown because shirts were loose up top and tight on my stomach and was in the same sizes. Blerg! It was frustrating. So, I went elsewhere and found beautiful clothes that fit me well. Yay!

This was a good week. They aren’t all good weeks but it’s important to learn how to handle the good with the bad and celebrate all your successes not just on the scale. You are doing great too! Keep going, it gets easier!

A whole chicken… that’s funny! I’m going to have to use that!

FIVE POUNDS??? Girl, you’re amazing! I’m so proud of you! Keep up the good work, you’re obviously working hard! 🙂 I’m aiming for at least a 1.6 lb loss this week so I can reach 15 lbs total.

    • Dacia replied:

Good luck Juleen! I know you can do it! That 15 pound goal is in your reach!!!!

  11. SAJ replied:

that is AWESOME! i am continuously impressed but your will power and your committment to this. it is definitely paying off!

  12. mindac replied:

Yay!!! You know I’ve heard a lot of weight comparisons in my day but never a chicken, lol. Maybe WW should give us chicken stickers instead of stars for each 5lbs lost??? Great job 🙂

    • Dacia replied:

That would be so awesome!!! Chicken for 5 lb, turkey for 10 lb! I love that idea!
